About Terra Lyn Anderson
I believe that artistic expression, in any form, is a direct translation of the soul. I find sanctuary in painting because the delicacy, time, and intention by which I am able to create something that was not there before is deeply tender and deeply satisfying to me. I started painting in 2009 in an unexpected excavation of color and sexuality. These themes have saturated my artwork ever since. I am self-taught, and with every new work, I revel in the novelty and risk that each brush stroke possess. To paint is to turn myself inside out: an opportunity to let a person who is cast in shadow see the light, express my vibrance and vitality through color, and reign through erotic and creative power.
